How to provide antifreeze protection for diesel generator sets in ice and snow

In the cold winter, the diesel generator set used as the main or backup power supply also needs careful care in the snow and ice weather to safely survive the winter. The correct use of the generator set can effectively reduce the damage caused by bad weather. Changzhou Kaihong Power summarizes the anti-freezing and cracking measures for the diesel generator set in winter. I hope the following measures can protect your diesel generator set from damage.

1. When the temperature is below 0℃, the antifreeze concentration needs to be checked regularly. It is also prohibited to use untreated water as engine coolant. Note that after every day's work, the cooling water in the radiator chamber, engine, engine oil cooler and torque converter oil cooler should be drained out to avoid freezing and cracking; there is water vapor in the air reservoir and should be discharged frequently to prevent freezing and brake failure. If antifreeze has been added, do not release it.

2. When the general temperature is below 5℃, water or steam should be heated to preheat the engine before starting, and it should be preheated to above 30~40℃ before starting.

3. To prevent the water tank from freezing, you can add special long-lasting anti-rust and antifreeze fluid or use electric heating equipment to ensure that the room temperature is above the freezing point.

4. When using the unit, please note that the no-load preheating time should be slightly longer before power can be supplied.

5. It is strictly forbidden to bake the generator set with an open flame.

6. In areas with extremely low temperatures, the unit must be equipped with a water heating device.

7. Note that full load operation is only allowed when the water temperature of the diesel engine is higher than 55°C and the engine oil temperature is higher than 45°C. During operation, the water temperature and oil temperature of the engine should not exceed 95°C, and the oil temperature of the torque converter should not exceed 110°C.

8. Generally, the freezing point of diesel used should be 3-5°C lower than the lowest seasonal temperature. Fuel can be replaced in time according to local temperature changes.

Changzhou Kaihong Power reminds you that the above content is the anti-freeze cracking measures for diesel generator sets in ice and snow weather. Everyone also needs to take maintenance and protection measures in winter, so as to ensure that the diesel generator set is in normal operation and the use of the equipment is ensured. life.
