The emergence of modern diesel generator set technologies has filled the gap in market demand for the development and production of automated diesel generator sets. But do you know what a diesel generator does? According to the standard, diesel generator set automation is divided into three levels. Details are as follows: 

Functions of automatic diesel generator sets

（1）When the unit needs to be started, this can be achieved through an automatic start control command or an automatic remote control command. When the unit needs to be shut down, it can automatically stop through an automatic or remote control command. 

（2）During operation of the unit, if overload, short circuit, overspeed, overfrequency, excessive water temperature, low oil pressure, or other abnormal conditions occur, it can automatically provide protection against overload, short circuit, overspeed, overfrequency, excessive water temperature, low oil pressure, and other abnormal conditions.

（3）The unit should be equipped with audible and visual signals for normal and abnormal operating conditions, and these signals should indicate the operating status of the unit.

In addition to meeting the requirements of primary automation devices, Level 2 automatic diesel generator sets should also meet the following requirements: besides meeting the requirements of Level 1 and Level 2 automatic devices, the unit must also have the following functions:

（1）The unit should be able to complete automatic and parallel regulation of two units of the same type according to automatic control commands or remote control commands.

（2）In addition to Level 1 and Level 2 automatic protection, it should also have reverse power protection.
